Worked with Whisky Auctioneer and the lovely folks at the PR agency Spey to create the centrepiece film announcing the discovery of what is thought to be the world’s oldest whisky hidden in the cellar of Blair Castle.

High-Value Whisky Promotion

The campaign helped generate substantial international attention around the collection, with the 24 bottles ultimately selling for a combined £385,630 at auction. Hard to believe, but we didn't get a free bottle at the end of this project.

The final film became the key promotional asset across press, social media, and auction communications - helping position the discovery as both a historical curiosity and a major whisky event. Slàinte mhath!

The project needed to balance history, rarity, mystery, and luxury, without becoming overly “heritage brand” in tone.

Starting from only a loose initial concept, we developed a cinematic film focused on atmosphere, storytelling, and the almost mythic quality of the discovery.

It had to not just to inform audiences, but build anticipation and perceived value ahead of auction.

"Lost Clock were amazing to work with on this project. We came to them with clear objectives but only a loose, high-level concept and they quickly turned that into something creative and focused. They just understand our vision so easily and know how to elevate it without overcomplicating things. On the day, they always strike a rare balance of being incredibly disciplined with time while still making everyone on screen feel relaxed and at ease. The final film was a beautifully cinematic piece that captured the rarity and significance of the whiskies perfectly. It played a key role in building excitement and credibility around the collection, ultimately helping us achieve standout results at auction for these incredibly rare whiskies.”
